World 2 is the second world of the game Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. It consists of 10 levels, and like every other world, it has six regular levels, a Fort, a Castle, an extra level, the Scratch and MatchBonus Game, and a secret level (GBA only). Most of the levels in the world are set on forested mountains or in dusky uplands.
List of Levels in World 2[edit]Here are all the levels in World 2: Visit Koopa And Para-Koopa[edit]The first appearance of Koopa Troopa alongside with Para-Koopa. This level is very mountainous and has a lot of falling rocks that can crush Yoshi or simply fall into a pit. Poochy also makes an appearance in this level. In one area, the screen scrolls slowly upwards as Yoshi has to avoid falling rocks that pile-up on each other Tetris-style. Also, this is the first time Baby Mario can morph into Superstar Mario. The Baseball Boys[edit]Both Sluggers and Green Gloves team up here, to create a pitcher and a batter. The player must watch out, since the eggs they throw or deflect back might push the player into a hazard such as Spikes. What's Gusty Taste Like?[edit]This is Gusty's first appearance in the game, and half of the level takes place in a forest, while the other half takes place in a cave. A bonus minigame room is also located here as well. Bigger Boo's Fort[edit]A fort with many Boos and Big Boos. This is also the first appearance of Boo Man Bluff. Many Fangs aid Bigger Boo in the fight, and a lot of ! Switches can be found in this level too. Watch Out For Lakitu[edit]Lakitu, Cactus Jack, and a Pokey make their first appearances throughout the game. This stage has a lot of Shy-Guys in it, and is also the first time that Yoshi is able to transform into a Train. The Cave Of The Mystery Maze[edit]The player starts outside in the beginning of the level. They are soon in an underground room once they hit the Winged Cloud containing a door. The player is then in a smoke filled room, and carefully advances to reach another room that leads outside to a beachside area. Lakitu's Wall[edit]Many Wall Lakitus are seen in this level. The player is also in a mountainous area, filled with falling ledges and coins. Fat Guys make their first appearance here too. The Potted Ghost's Castle[edit]The boss of World 2, along with two green Shy-Guys aiding him. This level contains many areas in which Yoshi is inside a pipe, along with thorns. Yoshi is also able to transform into a train in this level. Hit That Switch!![edit]The second Extra level in the game. The player has to quickly advance while hitting the ! Switches and avoiding Piranha Plants. There is also a pipe in the beginning that contains stars, which is the only time the player is able to get them too. Mystery of the Castle?[edit]This level contains a maze which is very complex. There is also a section in which the player needs to ride Flatbed Ferries in order to advance throughout the level. Bonus-2[edit]Collecting 800 points (700 in the remake) unlocks Scratch and Match to play anytime.

Yoshi's Island Online
Yoshi's Island 2 is the second level on Yoshi's Island in Super Mario World. Finishing the level is compulsory for beating the game, since Yoshi's Island 1 could be avoided. The level introduces many reoccurring elements, such as Yoshi, Monty Moles, Koopa Troopas, Berries, and Beanstalks. The level has a forest theme. Overview[edit]At the beginning of the level, the first of many red Berries can be seen. Soon after, there is a Red Shell on the ground which can be thrown into a series of Koopa Troopas on a plateau, providing the player with many points and an extra life. There are two ? Blocks ahead and, given that the player already has beaten the Yellow Switch Palace, a yellow ! Block containing a Super Mushroom. The next pair of ? Blocks not only contains a Coin, but also Yoshi. When proceeding, the player comes across a Message Block giving information about the Spin Jump. There are also some more red Berries here that Yoshi can eat. After defeating a red-shelled Koopa Troopa and a Koopa without a Shell, the player can easily reach the first Dragon Coin, surrounded by some regular Coins. When continuing, another Koopa without a Shell can be seen about to step into a Green Shell. Yoshi's abilities make it easy to defeat those. The second Dragon Coin can be found here as well. After going up some steps, the player is attacked by a Chargin' Chuck who protects the third Dragon Coin. A Message Block right before the Midway Gate describes the function of the same. After two yellow Warp Pipes, a ? Block provides a second chance to get Yoshi in this level, or a 1-Up Mushroom if Yoshi is already there. New enemies, Monty Moles, are introduced after this. The right Rotating Block here releases a Beanstalk. Climbing up gives the player access to a row of clouds and the fourth Dragon Coin (Yoshi cannot go up the Beanstalk). The final Dragon Coin can be found just afterwards back on the ground, after another Monty Mole. There is also a pink Berry on a nearby bush.. The player can slip into the blue Warp Pipe ahead, taking them to an underground room with six winged ? Blocks and four Grab Blocks. Mario and Luigi can Double Jump off Yoshi to reach the ? Blocks, or they can throw the Grab Blocks. They all contain Coins, except for one which contains a 1-Up Mushroom. When leaving the underground room through the green Pipe, the player finds themselves right next to a Warp Pipe with a Jumping Piranha Plant inside. After this, a Switch Block surrounded by Rotating Blocks can be seen. Hitting the lower central Block makes the Switch Block drop, and hitting the Switch Block turns the Coins to the right into solid Blocks. The player now can walk right onto the Blocks and thus avoid the Chargin' Chuck below and reach a high score at the Giant Gate. Enemies[edit]
