World World 1 Appearance Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3 Levels 10 <<List of worlds>> World 1 is the first world of Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island and Yoshi's Island: Super Mario Advance 3. The world contains eight normal levels and two secret levels. Its extra level is Extra 1: Poochy Ain't Stupid, and its secret level is Secret 1: Exercise in the Skies. The world's theme is a grassy plain in spring. 1Levels of World 1 Levels of World 1[edit] The following is a list of each level in World 1. Make Eggs, Throw Eggs[edit] This level is an easy course that teaches the player some things about the game. The level features Shy-Guys, Fly Guys and the Chomp Rock. Watch Out Below![edit] The second level is easy too. However, at the beginning, Yoshi must run quickly because Incoming Chomps will fall down and create holes in the ground. This level also introduces the transformation of Yoshi into a Helicopter. The Cave Of Chomp Rock[edit] This level takes place inside a cave containing many Nipper Plants and Chomp Rock. The level also features a Minigame room. Burt The Bashful's Fort[edit] The first fort is an easy level. At the beginning Yoshi must be careful because some walls can fall down and squash him when Yoshi runs past them. The level features the Burts, Lava Bubble and much more. The boss of the fort is Burt the Bashful, a giant Burt who jumps very high. Yoshi must throw eggs at him to defeat him. Hop! Hop! Donut Lifts[edit] This level is slightly harder than the previous four because it is an auto-scrolling level, so Yoshi must follow the path to get to the end. The level features the Donut Lifts as says the name, which fall if Yoshi stands on them for too long. Shy-Guys On Stilts[edit] This is an easy level with many Shy-Guys on Stilts. This special kind of Shy-Guy cannot be swallowed by Yoshi when on their stilts. This level contains two dark cave areas. At the end, a 1-Up balloon will appear. Touch Fuzzy, Get Dizzy[edit] This is a forest level with a Minigame Room and many Fuzzies. It also features the extremely rare Melon Bug that helps Yoshi to defeat enemies like Tap-Taps. Salvo The Slime's Castle[edit] This is the first castle of the game. It is an easy level, however Yoshi must be careful with the spiked platforms and the rotating cylinders. The boss is Salvo the Slime, a giant Lemon Drop. Yoshi has to throw eggs at it to defeat it. Poochy Ain't Stupid[edit] This is the first 'extra' level in the game. The main focus of it is Poochy, who Yoshi must ride on to get past the level. If Yoshi falls off of Poochy, he'll fall into lava and lose a life. Exercise in the Skies[edit] Available only in Super Mario Advance 3: Yoshi's Island. This is the first secret level in the game. As the name implies, Yoshi will have to traverse through cloud platforms and other types of airborne terrain most of the time. Bonus-1[edit] Collecting 800 points (700 in the remake) will unlock Flip Cards to play anytime. • The levels are accessed on a menu screen, and the worlds are found on a map of Yoshi's Island. Each world has eight levels with two of them being boss stages. After you beat the game, an extra one will appear in each world, rising the count to nine. Yoshi is capable of performing many different attacks and moves in Yoshi's Island. His foremost.
• Finding them all in a single level can be difficult, especially when you have an abundance of enemies rushing at you from all different directions. But if you do happen to get 100% in the eight normal levels on a world, the secret, extra-difficult level will be unlocked. Overall, Yoshi's Island is a superb game.

Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island is a 2D platform game for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, developed by Nintendo EAD. The game is the prequel to Super Mario World and chronologically the first in Mario franchise, and it stars Yoshi and the Yoshi clan who, while carrying Baby Mario, travel across Yoshi's Island to rescue Baby Luigi from Baby Bowser and his Magikoopa minion/caretaker.

• Extra 1 - Disable Auto-Scrolling

During the World One Extra level, you can disable the autoscrolling in the level. To do this, you need to bounce repeatedly on the bat enemies that appear at the start of the level in sequence, doing so until Yoshi is eventually off-screen. Then Flutter Jump to the right and past the first stony wall that appears from the ceiling. Once past, you can still play the level with Poochy, but without the autoscrolling that would otherwise painfully limit your abilities and overcomplicate things.

• Hard mode

Get 1,000 points in a world (100 points on all ten levels including Extra and Secret levels). A star will appear on the game selection screen. Get five stars on that screen to unlock hard mode. | Submitted by Neto

• Higher flutter jump

• Level 1-7: Extra lives

Pick up a Rollie-Pollie Guy with your tounge. Do not turn him into an egg or spit him out for anyone until you get to the pipe that spits out Shy-Guys. Once there, spit the Rollie-Pollie Guy out into a 1 (square) hole on the right of the pipe. Once placed, jump onto the platform above and to the right of it. Let the Shy-Guys jump out of the pipe and onto the Rollie-Pollie Guy. Points will accumulate and will eventually give you 1-Ups continually. • Special Yoshi eggs

To get special Yoshi eggs with out having to find special boxes, fire a Yoshi egg in an area that will cause the egg to bounce off the walls and back to you. When the egg returns to you, quickly use Yoshis tongue at the egg. If successful, you should have a special Yoshi egg. | Submitted by DayleJ

• Title Screen Stars

To append stars next to the logo at the game's title screen, you must complete every single level in a given world: this includes the extra levels earned by getting 100 points on the other eight levels in the world. One star will appear for each world completed in such a manner, for a total of up to six stars at the title screen.

• World 1-2: Easy lives

Pick up the shell at the start of the level and throw it at the row of Koopas. Quit level and repeat for endless lives. | Submitted by Neto

• World 1-7: Hidden area

Immediately before completing the level, there is a bridge that bends. Get the two Red Coins, then go to the other bridge. After that go on the piece of land with a log sticking out of the ground. Stand on the edge of the log, then shoot an egg straight up. A spring ball should fall. Jump on it and you will go to a hidden stage through a pipe. | Submitted by Neto

• World 1-9: Easy lives

Grab a Melon Bug (the bug that curls when you approach) and take him to the Shy-Guy Pipe (where the Shy Guys appear from). Look up and shoot the bug. If done correctly, the bug should fall in the tiny space on the right side of the pipe, between it and landscape. Stand on the elevated surface and make sure you have no eggs. The Shy Guys will pop out towards you, but hit the bug. You will keep getting extra lives until you have 100. Then, get a perfect completion on World 5 and you will get the roulette game. • World 3-1: Hidden area

There is a location in the water in World 3-1 where you can go beneath a land mass to access a hidden area, by jumping off of a giant spring arrow. If you curve to the side and go above the normal hidden entrance, you should enter an area where you will be falling towards nothing. Keep going right (stay in the air as long as possible) until you reach the edge. You will be teleported to World 1-1 (and gain credit toward World 3-1) where you can gain more red coins and hearts than the maximum. It will only go to the top, but it will be 10 times easier to perfect the level. | Submitted by Neto

• World 3-1: Warp to World 5

On World 3-1, select any character and fall down the waterfall. There is a door at the bottom. Go inside and find the potion. Throw it near the vase and go inside. Enter the vase, which will warp you to World 5. | Submitted by Neto

• World 3-4 Boss Tips

At the end of World 3-4, you'll encounter a boss in which you fight in the foe's stomach. If you do not move left/right at all on entering the stomach, you will never be hit by the acid. Furthermore, try to angle your egg shots to hit the sides of the uvula at the top of the screen: for reasons unknown, hitting the target from the side, as opposed to just aiming straight up at it, does significantly more damage.

• World 4-1: Easy lives

Go up the first steep hill until you get to three pipes and a Koopa walking around. Two will have Piranha plants and one will be a Shy-Guy generator. Throw away an egg so Shy-Guys will start jumping out. Kill the two Piranha plants, eat the Koopa and stand on the pipe. Spit the Koopa shell towards the Shy-Guys. The shell will bounce between the two pipes, knocking out the Shy-Guys. As soon as ten Shy-Guys are knocked out, you will start getting a 1-Up for each consecutive Shy-Guy. The shell will keep bouncing around, killing the Shy-Guys that pop out. You can get up to 999 lives this way. | Submitted by Neto
